Because of The Word

[Mk 4:17]

Because of the Word, I am saved, healed, and delivered!

Because of the Word, we know Jesus and our Father!

Because of the Word, we are filled with Holy Spirit!

Because of the Word, the devil hates us! Praise God for His Word!

It is God’s will that I share the gospel, filled with His power, able to withstand the enemy. His Word enables me to edify the saints. Building up the body of Christ while we are here on the earth, even as evil forces rise up at the end of the age.

In the parable of the sower:

Mk 4:17 (NKJV) –“and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble.

NASB, “when affliction or persecution arises”

Remember: Perseverance is evidence of faith!

NASB, “because of the word” Notice that persecution is related to the gospel (cf. Mt 5:10-12; 1Pet 2:11-12,21; 3:14-17; 4:12-16). God’s Son, God’s word, and God’s people are targets in a fallen world.

This is saying, affliction, or tribulation comes because of the Word. The context is about the devil taking everything that is not rooted and grounded in the heart, by the Word of God. I believe the devil will do everything he can to hinder the Word from being spread.

Christians are not exempt from tribulation or trials, we are especially going to be tested. Our tribulation consists largely of persecution and the opposition to our testimony as we meet up with unfriendly earthlings.

I have encountered all kinds of opposition lately, trying to discourage me from getting the Word out. I am in a situation right now, tribulation came because of my intent to spread the Word.

When you decree, or proclaim your intention of spreading the gospel, all Hell breaks loose. The enemy does not want to loose any territory.

I have fought through physical attack, after attack. Fiery trials working overtime trying to make me stop. Well it ain’t gonna work! I made it through shingles, and I am conquering lymphedema, in the name of Jesus, and in the power of His blood!

In a time of discouragement, I told Holy Spirit that I was sure that I was supposed to continue the podcast. And He said, “The Father wants to hear His voice through you.” Wow! What a confirmation! The Father’s voice will include operating in His gifts.

I thank all of you for your faith-filled prayers. Without intercessors, in force and in agreement, the battle would have been much more difficult. Thank you for having my back.

Lord, thank you for giving me friends in the body of Christ. Warriors, who continually walk with Holy Spirit in a deep relationship with You. Thank you, Lord!

I am grateful for fellowship with genuine believers. We know how important it is for us to fellowship with other disciples in order to maintain our sanity. Together we can navigate these last days. Thank you Lord, in Jesus’ name, amen.
