VB053 Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

[2Cor 6:2; Col 4:5-6]

Happy new year, my brothers and sisters!

The Victory Briefings podcast began on a new year’s eve. And we’ve made another trip around the sun together, you and me. I thank you for your prayers and support along this journey, and God bless you as we run another lap around the track.

It’s a time to reflect and think about the things that happened.

It’s time to celebrate the past, or time to turn over a new leaf.

A day to listen to all the prophets give their insight, and a time to see which ones have hit the mark.

Maybe it’s time to justify what was not accomplished in the past.

I know for some, last year was total chaos! And for others it was happiness and success. I expect next year to be better for all of us, we’ve had our ups and downs of last year, now let’s move on – in faith.

I think the reason we wish everyone a happy new year, is because we know that the last one wasn’t as good as we could have made it. Let’s resolve today to make the best of the time and pray that this next year will be full of joy, because we are doing God’s will – “Behold now is the day of salvation” (2Cor 6:2).

People say that “talk is cheap,” but that’s absolute nonsense! We know that words are powerful and costly. At the expense of words wars are fought where millions die, or grace abounds and peace and joy fill men’s hearts.

If you get anything, get wisdom, of the power of words. We see plenty of evil – that words have caused, but faith-filled prayer and worship are the most powerful toward good.

Scripture:

Col 4:5-6 (NKJV) –[5] Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. [6] Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

Prayer:

Lord, I pray for those who read this message, and myself. Help us, Holy Spirit, to become more useful vessels for your plan. Thank you for the power to walk in wisdom, and thank You for equipping us for this next year. Father, we stand firm in our faith and resolve today to make the best of today, and I pray that this year will be full of joy. We are determined to find – and to do Your will in the upcoming year. Lord, help us to speak words that cause others to become thirsty for Your Words. And we thank You for having an answer through us, to those who ask of You. Father, we give You glory in Jesus’ name, amen.

God bless you my friend,
