Abortion
One of the key issues with abortion is the question of whether or not the fetus is a person.
Although the Bible does not directly address abortion, it tells us that conception is a gift of God. God creates a baby in the womb of the mother and has a plan for its days. David relates his sinful nature to the time of his conception, and tells us that God’s care begins at that point in life.
There is a law regarding accidental lose of a child’s life — Ex 21:22.
What the Bible says about a fetus:
-
It is called a child — Mt 1:20
-
It has a conscious awareness — Lk 1:36, 41, 44
