VB129 Hearing, Believing, and Speaking

Hearing, Believing, and Speaking

[Rom 10:8-10; Col 2:6 Ps 119:105]

Hearing, believing, and speaking is the recipe for receiving from God.

Rom 10:8-10 (NKJV) But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Confession is scriptural, but it is a result of faith in the heart. When people really believe in their hearts, they will speak what they believe, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Mt 12:34; Lk 6:45). Faith and confession will work when used according to the instructions here in Romans 10:10.

This not only applies to our initial salvation, but anything we need from the Lord comes the same way. Colossians 2:6 says, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.

Jesus has already purchased salvation and all of its benefits for us. We don’t have to beg God to heal us. It’s already a done deal. All we have to do is hear the promise of God, believe in our hearts, and confess with our mouths. It’s that simple to use our faith.

We need to walk in what Jesus has provided. There is a place we can reach where we aren’t striving to get God to bless us. But we can rest by faith, in what has already been done for us.

You should read the Bible every day as a part of your survival plan. Fill your heart to abundance with the word of God. In these last days you should make a commitment to walk in the Word. Psalms 119:105 tells us, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” You must determine that the Word of God will be a guiding light that leads you down every path, and illuminates every decision you make in life.

Confession:

I received salvation by what I heard, believed, and confessed. I receive my healing by hearing the Word (1 Pet. 2:24), believing in my heart, and speaking with my mouth.

Everything I need comes by speaking with my mouth what I believe in my heart. I can speak faith-filled words to my problems (Mk. 11:23). Instead of talking about my problems; I confess the promises of God in faith.

Prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I commit myself to walk in the Word. Your Word living in me produces Your life in this world. I recognize that Your Word is integrity—steadfast, sure, eternal—and I trust my life to its provisions.

You have sent your Word and it lives in my heart, making me rich in all true wisdom. I meditate in it day and night so that I may diligently act on it. The Incorruptible Seed, the Living Word, the Word of Truth, is abiding in my spirit. That Seed is growing mightily in me now, producing Your nature, Your life. Amen.

God bless you my friend,
