Grace

The undeserved favor of God

Grace is God’s life-transforming gift of His favor to those who do not
deserve it. The gift of righteousness and salvation is available to all who will
receive it by grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. It is by God’s grace
we are supplied with our every need. All our blessing come by His grace.

1. Grace comes as a gift

3. From Jesus, the Son — Jn. 1:17; 1 Cor. 1:4.

2. How do we receive grace?
1. We accept Jesus as Lord — Jn. 1:14, 16; 2 Cor. 8:9; Eph. 1:6-7.
2. We must be humble — Pr. 3:34; James 4:6.
3. Cannot be earned by good works — Rom. 11:6; 2 Tim.1:9.
4. Cannot be earned by keeping the law — Rom. 6:14; Gal. 2:16.

1. Abraham — Gal. 3:18.
2. Paul — Eph. 1 Tim. 1:12-16.
3. All believers — Eph. 1:7-8.
4. What happens to believers through grace?
1. We are chosen — Rom. 11:15.

5. We receive righteousness — Rom. 5:17.
6. We are saved — Acts 15:11; Titus 2:11.
