P026 The Bible And The Power
The Bible And The Power Of The Holy Spirit
[Heb 4:12; Jn 14:15-16,23; Ps 103:7; Jn 17:22-23; Rom 12:2; Gen 1:26; 2Pet 1:4; Rom 1:16]
We need to realize that there is an all out war against absolute truth. We must know the importance of our words. The enemy wants us to lose the reality of our victory in Christ Jesus. If we are not grounded on the absolute truth of the Bible, and are not actively speaking words that maintain that truth, we will lose the realization of what Jesus has provided.
Without absolute truth, you don’t know what way to go or what to do. Without absolute truth, confusion abounds. Many people don’t know what they are talking about! If you don’t know what to think, or what to say, or what to do, you may be lost. The world is lost, and the god of this world wants to keep people lost (see 2Cor 4:4).
When we learn to align our thoughts, words, and actions with the Word of God, we begin to know the Father and we become different from the world.
We are living in the last days. At this time we are approaching all kinds of dangers. The Bible says there will be perilous times. People are promoting mind-blowing ideas, trying to force the righteous to conform to whatever is wicked and popular (see 2Tim 3:1-5).
The Bible and power of the Holy Spirit are more than enough to give us victory in these crazy last days. We who live by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit will escape the dangers of the world. This is what we must boldly believe and boldly proclaim.
More than ever, it is essential that you consistently walk in the Word of God, and fellowship with other strong believers in order to navigate these last days.
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) –For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
To minister life to people your words must be anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit. We must keep the commandments of Jesus and receive the Father’s gift, the Holy Spirit.
John 14:15-16 –If ye love me, keep my commandments. [16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:23 –Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would come and abide with us and be our Helper. Then He said that He and the Father would live in us if we love Him and keep His Word. According to John 14 verses 15, 16, and 23 —the believer has the Holy Trinity living on the inside!
When you yield your spirit to the Holy Spirit your words will manifest the power of God. When you fall in love with God and His Word, you will want to obey His Word. You will not only want to know His Word, but to also know His actions and His ways.
Psalms 103:7 –He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
A true relationship with God causes His power to manifest in your life. When you are one with Him, you know (or trust) what He has said and He can know (or trust) what you will say. He knows you will speak of Him. We must consider and meditate on the fact that we are sharing in the glory of God. We are sharing in the oneness of God.
John 17:22-23 –And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Jesus is saying, “I love You, Father, and You love Me, and the Father loves His children as much as He loves Me.” When truth is spoken, it has to be anointed with this love and glory. When you are one in the Spirit with God, the Spirit of life will come out of you in the power of your words, and that makes demons tremble.
When we were born again, the spirit is the only thing that changed. Rebirth happens in the spirit. In the spirit realm we have been redeemed back into a right relationship with God. We have the same relationship that Adam and Eve had before sin took place.
When Jesus redeemed us, our bodies were not born-again. Our souls (the mind, will, and emotions) were not changed. The soul has to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. We must allow our born-again spirits to dominate our lives, so that by faith we become able to push out fear, doubt, and unbelief.
Romans 12:2 –And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Conformed: Gk. suschematizo to fashion or shape one thing like another. This verb refers to a thing that is transitory, changeable, unstable. This Greek word cannot be used to mean inward transformation. Be not is a negative present imperative verb that tells us to Stop doing this! Do not let this continue any longer! Go on refusing to be conformed!
Transformed: Gk. metamorphoo to change into another form (meta, implying change, and morphe, form), is used of Christ’s transfiguration (Mt.17:2; Mk.9:2). Here “be ye transformed,” the obligation being to undergo a complete change, which by the power of God, will cause words and actions to align with the will of God.
Be transformed; present imperative verb is a commitment to a long-term way of doing something. A command to keep on doing an action as one’s general habit or life style. Keep on being transformed by the continual renewing of your mind.
Renewing: Gk. anakainosis The process and adjustment of the moral and spiritual vision and thinking to the mind of God, a willing response on the part of the believer, by changing what he see, hears, believes, and speaks.
The world system is evil and under the rule of Satan. We must despise what is evil, love what is righteous, and refuse to yield to various forms of worldliness that constantly surround us.
Prove: to approve or allow; a present tense verb; constantly allowing or continuously approving God’s will. However, we must realize it is not God’s will that we be changed only on the inside. He wants to manifest this salvation in our physical lives also. That takes place through the renewing of our minds. We realize the mind of Christ and His Word (His will) is proven through us by our victory.
Stop being squeezed into the world’s unstable fashion! Decide to continually allow your mind to be completely transformed, changed from within, by the power of God’s Word, so that you may prove in practice that God’s plan for you is good, it pleases Him, and is perfected, glorified, in you.
If you want to have the power of God manifest in your life, you need to change the way you think, and learn to speak from your heart.
Genesis 1:26 –Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
When God created mankind, He thought about it, He believed in His heart, and He spoke the Word and man was created. Man was was created in His image and likeness, so we too think, believe, and speak. In the same verse God gave man authority over all the earth. The devil deceived mankind, and now is the ruler of the world. But we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus and restored as if though sin never entered into the story. I believe that once again, we can walk with God in the cool of the day as Adam did.
Many people do not want to believe these things. They are conformed to the world so much that they think it is impossible to be what God has made them to be. We have His divine nature, if we will partake of it.
2 Peter 1:4 –by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
We were designed and meant to be like God. When we yield to the Holy Spirit our words will manifest the power of God. The Bible and the power of the Holy Spirit will minister life to people around us. While the power protects us in these last days, it will overflow through us to save many lost ones as well. Be Bold!
Romans 1:16 –For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Thank God, we have the Bible and the power of the Holy Spirit!
God bless you my friend,
