VB148 Veteran’s Day 2024

Veteran’s Day 2024

[Jn 15:13; Rom 16:17-18; Josh 1:9]

Veteran is a word that simply means someone who is experienced in their field. But in The United States the word is much more special. It speaks of those men and women who are serving (or have previously served) in any branch of our military.

When you have military in your own family, you have a better grasp of the depth of the sacrifice of veterans.

Did you know there are over sixteen million living veterans who have served in at least one war? Over two million of those veterans are women, and nearly ten million of all veterans are over the age of 65. Can you imagine being a part of a group of men and women who are ready to defend our country from war? To be willing to leave family, friends, and comforts to keep the rest of us safe? It is only right that we would have a special day to honor them. Veteran’s Day gives us a time to remember, encourage, and comfort veterans in our thoughts and prayers.

When I think of our dedicated service men and women, I remember Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends (Jn 15:13). How frustrated the veterans must have been in the last four years to listen to main-stream media’s constant lies.

Rom 16:17-18 (NASB) – [17] …brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. [18] For such people are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

Anyone who doesn’t understand that we have been without a commander-in-chief during the Biden/Harris so-called “administration” has been sadly deceived. There are good and evil, and the Bible says, “you will know them by their fruits” (Mt 7:20). Much of the world has been mocking our country, and promoting lawlessness. War mongers have financed terrorist groups to war against Israel. At the possible brink of world war three, God has apparently answered our prayers with election results that finally ends a four-year coup d’état.

A shift has occurred in the spiritual realm that is allowing a different anointing of Holy Spirit to flow. A different anointing of assignments are going to flow through a higher authority. A higher echelon of kingdom operations will be taking place. We have entered a time for intense warfare. This shift in the spiritual realm began as November 5th votes were tallied. We have not won all the victory yet. We have only gained a foothold for the kingdom of God.

We must not relax or go slack in any of Holy Spirit’s strategic plans. Redeem the time for prayer, worship, and decrees. We must not surrender anything, we must move forward with His plan.

Josh 1:9 (NASB) –“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Many times those in our military feel forgotten. Don’t allow that to happen to the veterans in your life. One way to say “Thank You” is to pray for them. Keep praying for them. Keep remembering them.

Let’s Pray For Them:

Lord, we can all agree that the veterans deserve our thanks. Father, they have their struggles, and we cannot know the magnitude of what they go through on a daily basis. But Lord, thank you for them – and we say, “thank you” to them. Let them know they are not forgotten. As we bless our veterans, we bless our nation under you, God. Amen.

We Decree:

God will generously provide all you need, and you will always have plenty left over to share with others (2Cor 9:8).

God bless our veterans for their awesome commitment and service.

God bless you my friend,
