Our Morning Devotion
[Eph 1:17:23; 2:1,6]
Years ago in Bible college, I read a little book called The Believer’s Authority, (Kenneth Hagin Ministries, Tulsa 1967). The book made me realize that speaking words of faith meant speaking the truth of God’s Word. And proclaiming the Word of God makes things happen. So Deb and I took the instruction in this book to heart, and began to apply the principle we learned. The idea of taking our seat of authority is continually reinforced by being world-wide prayer partners with Billye Brim, who was Kenneth Hagin’s editor for years.
Every morning we have coffee with the Holy Spirit. As we speak His words from our hearts, we make our declaration known to the spiritual realm. We start with prayer and praise, and praying in the spirit. Then as we read through the following Scriptures, which Paul prayed for the church, we take our seat of authority in heaven at the right hand of the father with Jesus.
Ephesians 1:17-23 (KJV) –That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: [18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, [19] And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, [20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], [21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: [22] And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church, [23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 2:1 (KJV) –And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Ephesians 2:6 (KJV) –And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, we receive Your resurrection life. The glory of God is dwelling in us today. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is making alive our mortal flesh. Every sickness, disease and infirmity must leave our bodies right now. Resurrection life is driving it out. The devil was defeated the day that Jesus was raised up. Now, Jesus is continually making us alive in Him. The older we get, the stronger we become. Thank You, LORD, for Your resurrection life in us!
Jesus ALREADY bore our sicknesses and carried away our pains. From God’s standpoint, OUR HEALING IS AN ACCOMPLISHED FACT! The work is already done. Now, it’s our responsibility to take what rightfully belongs to us. According to 1 Peter 2:24, by His stripes, we WERE healed. Symptoms of distress, pains and sickness—you leave us right now! We ARE healed. We ARE whole. We walk in perfect health all because of what Jesus did for us. In Jesus’ name, we declare it so!
God bless you my friend,
