VB161 How To Be Saved

How To Be Saved!

[Jn 3:16; Rom 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; 10:9-10; 1Cor 15:3-4; Jn 14:6; Acts 2:21; 1Jn 1:9]

God loves you and has a plan for you!

The Bible says, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (Jn 3:16).

Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” – eternal life – full of purpose (Jn 10:10).

Man is sinful and separated from God.

We have all thought, said, and done bad things. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23).

The result of sin is spiritual death, death means separation, spiritual separation from God (Rom 6:23). That is the bad news (See. Death outline).

The Good News!

We don’t have to focus on our sin in order to be saved! Confession of sin is for later (after we are “born-again”), for when we slip and need to get back on track (See, 1Jn 1:9; Confession outline). If we had to confess all of our sins in order to be born-again, that’s not good news! Confessing that Jesus is Lord, is the key (Rom 10:9-10).

We just need to say with our mouth “Jesus is Lord,” and believe God raised Him from the dead.

Rom 10:9-10 (ESV) – [9] If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Jesus paid the price so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever.

God sent His Son to die for all the world’s sin! No more separation from God!

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom 5:8).

It didn’t end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!

Christ died for our sins…. He was buried…. He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1Cor 15:3-4).

Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (Jn 14:6).

Receive Jesus

Would you like to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior?

You can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is believe that Jesus died for your sins. Jesus knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart. Praying the following prayer will get you born into the family of God.

Pray Now – So you and God can hear your words

God, I believe Jesus is Your Son.
I believe that He died for my sin, and that you raised Him from the dead.
I want to trust Him as my Savior, and follow Him as Lord.
I pray this in the name of Jesus.
Now, I confess that I am a believer and Jesus Is My Lord!

Lord, fill me with your Spirit! Guide my life and help me to do your will. Lord, thank you for giving me your Spirit and life in Christ. Amen.
JESUS IS LORD!

Welcome to life! You can be assured that you are saved. Acts 2:21 “And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Now you must read and study God’s Word. Spiritual food for the mind and soul will strengthen you. The Bible is your guide, it is the absolute truth about life, and it never changes. Fellowship and learning with other believers is very important. You are a part of the body of Christ. He wants to operate through you on the earth.

We’re not building a religion, we are building a relationship with our Father God, who is in heaven – Jesus, His son, who is at His right hand, and Holy Spirit, who lives on the inside of us!

Holy Spirit is our helper when we don’t know what to pray (Rom 8:26). He gives us the power to witness (Acts 1:8). He wants to work through us to share Christ with other people. God wants us to keep being filled with the Spirit (Eph 5:18), so that we can be continually active in the body of Christ.

God bless you my friend,
