End-Time Boasters

Today people use situational ethics – forgetting fixed values and moral absolutes. They take whatever aimless position that easily adapts to whatever seems necessary for a given situation. Folks with this mindset will do or say whatever is needed to further a personal agenda, even when it clashes with conscience, conviction, or truth.
It is easy to see how far delusion and widespread mutiny against God and His Word have already advanced in the world today. This immoral philosophy is being exploited in media, education, and every area of society. Dictators are morally clueless, and our country is being led by what the Bible calls “boasters.”
2 Tim. 3:2 (KJV) -For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
The word “boasters” is from a Greek word that describes a person who is a braggart, and in context one so committed to his own self-promotion and personal agenda that he is willing to overstate facts and lie if it will benefit his position or situation.
Our “progressive” leaders hold views that continually shift and change. Their beliefs are affected by the most recently accepted norms, whatever they may be. Their policies make no sense, and their only consistency is a hatred for anything godly or good. This world view is being aggressively pushed by progressives who believe they have the right to subject everyone else to their moral code.
Believers who stick with the Word of God and refuse to go the way of the world, realize that they are on a collision course with social decline. Unbelievers hate solid values and moral absolutes.
These people are unaware that they are a part of a larger satanic plan at work. The plan is to lead society along the prophetic route to a day when the Antichrist will be revealed to the world.
The arrogance of “situational ethics” is a major component that leads to lawlessness. It’s all about getting mankind prepared for the ultimate manifestation of the Antichrist, the man of lawlessness, at the end of the age.
Since the beginning of time, the devil has been looking for a way to remove God’s authority in the earth. Satan has been working on a master plan – a hidden agenda and conspiracy – intended to secretly prepare the entire world to receive the Antichrist. The devil’s strategy is so sneaky that the population of the world is swallowing the bait, unaware that it is being led astray.
We have been looking at Paul’s list of characteristics of end-time society, and the Holy Spirit’s warning of the world’s spiritual decline. The same list can be seen as you flip through TV channels, or the pages of a newspaper.
We must guard ourselves and not be conformed to the world, but stand fast and be ready for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
