P007 Walk In The Word
I Will Walk In The Word

At my Bible College Graduation Banquet, Dr. Lester Sumrall delivered an awesome message on “Walking in The Word.” Which included the following verses;
Jn 8:31-32 –Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Jn 15:7-8 –If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. [8] Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
And he finished with,
Col 3:16 –Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
After speaking, Brother Sumrall did an interesting thing. He auctioned off his sermon notes to raise money to begin the next year’s scholarship fund for World Harvest Bible College. “Who will give ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS to jump-start the scholarship program?” He waved the pages of notes above his head. As the price quickly diminished, he just grinned and looked at the faces of his students. Finally a classmate stood up with some money in hand.
The winner of the auction was on his way back to his table when he turned and said, “Hey, these are blank sheets of paper!” Brother Sumrall replied, “You just paid $100.00 for a valuable lesson! When you are preaching to your congregation, deliver the Word of God from your heart, not from a piece of paper! God bless you for your great generosity toward a next year student.” A great applause was followed by the benediction.

Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I commit myself to walk in the Word. Your Word living in me produces Your life in this world. I recognize that Your Word is steadfast, sure, and eternal, and I trust my life to its provisions.
You have sent your Word and it lives in my heart, making me rich in all true wisdom. I meditate in it day and night so that I may diligently act on it. The Incorruptible Seed, the Living Word, the Word of Truth, is abiding in my spirit. That Seed is growing mightily in me now, producing Your nature and Your life in me. Amen.
God bless you my friend,
