Anger

The Bible has a lot to say about the anger (or wrath) of God, which is brought on by the sins of man. Jesus was angry when He saw hurting, defenseless people being poorly treated and when He saw God's house of prayer turned into a den of thieves. The purpose of God's anger is to bring restoration and must be looked at with His endless love in mind. We who have given our lives to Jesus Christ and realize Him to be Lord do not have to fret the wrathful day of the Lord when God punishes those who have rejected His grace.

People in the Bible have often displayed anger, sometimes out of selfishness, sometimes out of just cause. Anger is an emotional rejection of an unpleasant or difficult situation. I have heard people say, "I don't just get mad, I get even." But God's will is for us to control our anger and leave the revenge and justice to Him.
